We are proud to announce that Dropshard have been included in a physical Italian book called “Rock Progressivo Italiano 1980-2013” written by the blogger (nonsoloprogrock.blogspot.it) and prog enthusiast Massimo Salari. The book has been released by famous italian editor Hoepli.
Here is a foreword translated in english:
“Italian progressive rock has experienced years of intense brilliance, especially along the seventies of the last century. Many groups that have made it the highest level of expression, such as PFM, Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, Orme Area. Strangely, however, all observers and historians agree in overriding the order in 1980, a fateful year in which all the forces of that wonderful season seem to have finally appeased. Massimo “Max” Wages, however, has a very different opinion, and try to prove otherwise in this impressive study, which traces a path that starts from the late seventies to the present day, in a single narrative in Italian music scene. A third historical reconstruction, third interviews with the protagonists of a scene to be discovered, a third encyclopedia: mixing the ingredients the result is an extraordinary volume in size and content, in which the enthusiast and the novice will find unedited news, discographies detailed descriptions of style. A book to read, see and hear, which is set to become the benchmark for any future study on prog made in Itay.”17 December 2015
